Happy Independence day!

What a fun day! We went to Menan to check out there little fair they had going on. We got there and D had just fallen asleep. We decided not to go and went and checked out the Menan Buttes. Pretty lane to be honest. :) It was a nice drive and Ben and I got to relax for awhile. We got home minutes before our friends BBQ started. We grabbed everything and rushed out the doors. We had so much fun. I cant wait for next years, Each year gets better and better. We had a BBQ at my house later in the evening. We got home from our friends house a little later then expected. The night before I made a cake from scratch and hadn't frosted yet. When we got home I had to throw this together in like 2 minuted. It may have not looked the greatest, but it was yummy!

10 Months

Holy smokes it's been awhile. Life is GREAT!!! We have been super busy and Dylan has been growing like a weed. He is such a busy little boy. He loves playing with toys and having fun with mom.  He is such an amazing little boy. We set up our swimming pool a couple of weeks ago and where the weather has been so hot we have gone out and played in it.  He loves being in water. When we moved into our house it came with a swing set. We have repainted it and put on a baby swing. Dylan LOVES it!  If he could he would be in it all day.  We bought a zoo pass this summer and D loves going to the zoo all the time. We are excited to check out Pocatello and Boise zoo this summer. In a couple of weeks we will be taking D to Hogal Zoo in SLC.  I LOVE going there and I am sure D will LOVE it also. I am looking forward to the 4th of July. We bought some fireworks to see how Dylan would react to them. I thought he would get scared and start crying, No, we got the opposite reaction.  He laughed SO hard and just thought they were the coolest things ever. Every 4th our friends put on a huge BBQ and tank battle. It is so fun and cant wait to see everyone. We then our throwing a family BBQ after. I just pray I don't gain any weight that day. :)
I got a new church calling playing the piano in the Relief Society. I wasn't too excited about the calling where I didn't have a piano in my home to play and plus I haven't played in 10+ years in front of people. For our Anniversary Ben bought me a piano. I LOVE it and it is perfect!  Now I feel more confident in playing. I still don't enjoy it due to nerves, but it will get better soon I hope. :)

He got a little carried away with his bottle and got milk all over his face.

 Dylan loves Mike and Marion.

We are getting our outside of the house done in a couple of weeks, I am looking forward to a change of color. We are doing white with dark brown trim. I hope it looks all right when it is finished, Anything has got to be better then this peach color. :) I am so excited that summer is here and we have so many fun activities planned. I feel so blessed. I love my little family so much! I will try to be better at updating.  :)

Prayers for Japan

My heart broke this morning when I turned on the news and heard about the horrible quake in Japan.  I literally have been so sick about it all day.  Watching the footage and seeing all the damage that has occurred.  It has killed hundreds and the numbers keep going up.  Ben and I watched a movie the other night called Hereafter.  There was a part where a tsunami had hit and watching that part seemed so real and I was so upset about it.  Then when I found out this happened the images from the movie came back and how scared everyone was. It makes me feel so blessed that I am here safe with my little family.  I am so thankful for having the gospel in my life.  It sad that a natural disaster has to make me really open my eyes and think.  I take so much for granted. I need to always remember to live my life to the best. So much has been taken away today from the people in Japan.  Lets all do our part and  remember them in our prayers.

It's been awhile

Dylan makes me laugh SO hard.  He loved doing his new scared face for pictures.  It is priceless. LOL :)
Life has been kind of crazy the past few weeks.  We have been SO busy.  Ben's wonderful grandma Hare passed away January 19th.  We had family come up from Washington and North Carolina.  It was sad to say goodbye, but it is good that she is with her wonderful husband again.  She will be missed so much!  I am so glad that we got pictures and video with Dylan.  I wish he could have known her longer. We got to hang out with some cousins and that was nice to see everyone again.  I sure love Ben's family.  They treat me so kind (better then my extended family). Dylan got to play with his 2nd cousin. I can't wait to come visit them in August.  I LOVE Washington.  I would like to move there someday.

The day of grandma Hares funeral I got some bad news that my mom has breast cancer.  It is such a scary thing.  I know she is a fighter and she will be able to fight through this.  All we can do now is pray and wait.  She goes in for surgery on the 18th of February.  After a month she will have radiation.  They are unsure if she will have to have chemo, but we will find out at a later date.  If you don't mind please keep her in your prayers.

We have been updating our house!  That has been fun!  We bought the flooring which will be put in our hallway and kitchen. Ben put up the trim around the living room and kitchen entry.  It looks so nice. We will then my putting crown molding up around the entire upstairs.  I want to put in new cupboards eventually, but for now they will be okay.  We will be then putting a new granite counter top in the kitchen.  Then comes the bathroom.  First we are going to paint it a different color. Then a new counter top and sink.  Then comes the outside this summer we are going to paint.  We were going to side the house, but decided to wait.  Depending on if we will be moving in a year or so.  I am excited to see how it all turns out.

I can't wait for summer.  We have SO many fun things planned.  We are going to cut down a tree in our backyard so my garden will grow better.  I am excited to plant and can everything.  I wanted to do that last summer but where I was pregnant I didn't want to be outside at all.  In the front yard we will be pulling out some bushes and making a little rock garden in the front.  We have several family vacations planned for this summer too.  I can't wait to go visit everyone!  In April we will be going to my parents condo in Montana.  We love going there.  This year will be fun.  We will take Dylan swimming.  He LOVES being in the water.  It is so cute!  He is growing up so fast.

Family

I finally got part of my living room project finished. I am starting to get some energy.  I have been cutting vinyl out for so many people that I thought I would cut vinyl for my house.  It has been a fun little business that I have got into.  I can't wait to start updating the house.  Last year when we moved in we had plans to get everything done last summer.  Well 2 months after moving in I found out I was pregnant so we put a hold on the things I wanted to get done.  We are finally going to start with the floor.  I can't wait to get it put in.  I am debating if we want to do tile or just a wood floor. Eventually I want to lay new carpet in the living room.  We have wood floors in the upstairs bedrooms and have thought about carpeting those.  We will see.  We finally got Dylan's pictures back and will be going in again in a couple of weeks to get his 5 month pictures.

These are just a very few of them.  I can't wait to see what next months pictures will look like.  This will be fun to get his pictures taken once a month to see how much he grows.
