Hoppy Halloween from the Hares. :)

Dylan is still not doing very well.  We go to the Dr tomorrow and can't wait.  I am a little scared about him getting his shots though.  I think I am going to cry for him.  (I am good at that lately).  For Halloween  eve my sister came over and we watched Inception.  It is a great movie.  We didn't have any trick or treaters on Saturday or Sunday.  Dylan luckily slept most of the night.  He is such a little trooper.  I love that boy so much.  He has been so miserable.  Let's pray the Dr will figure out what is going on with him.

Halloween 2010

This year for Halloween we are spending at home.  We had it all planned out that we were
going to get Dylan all dressed up and take him to all his granparents houses. That planned failed. We called the grandparents and everyone is sick.  Dylan has been sick to so it actually works out ok.  Yesterday Dylan and I went to Ben's work.  His work puts on a HUGE Halloween party for kids.  Each department puts on a different theme.  Ben's department did How to Train Your Dragon.  It turned out so cute. We have two costumes for Dylan one a Tiger and the other a Skeleton. that glows in the dark.  He was a Tiger for Ben's work.  It was tons of fun!  I am so glad Dylan slept the whole time since he has had such an upset tummy he screams all the time.  Luckily we got some medication that seems to be helping.  7 days of him not feeling well has been AWFUL on him and me.  It makes me feel so helpless.  I have to remember that I can only do my part and then rely on the Lord for the rest of it.  The other night when Dylan first got sick he was screaming non stop and I couldn't calm him down.  I was rocking him and praying SO hard.  He had been screaming for about 10 minutes (which felt like an eternity) and I was crying with him because I felt so bad and didn't know what to do.  It was 130 in the morning and I didn't want to have to wake Ben up because he had to go to work in the morning.  So I prayed really hard and was begging the Lord to help.  All of a sudden Dylan looked up in the corner of the room and started following something that I couldn't see and he stopped crying and fell fast asleep.  He slept so well that night.

This is kind of a late post, but on October 17th Ben and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary.  We were sealed for time and all eternity.  It was such a great day that we celebrated with friends and family. This year we went to church and then after we went and visited Bens grandmother.  She is not doing to well and we want her to be able to spend as much time with her great grand child as much as she can.  Dylan is always asleep when we go there and I feel so bad. When we got home my parents came over and brought us a card for our anniversary.  They are so sweet.

So many wonderful things have happend during the year.  We were blessed and on Christmas eve I found out we were going to have a baby. It was such a miracle because we were told we wouldn't be able to have a baby.  I truely believe that going to the Temple was the reason that we got pregnant.  A few months ago I was reading Bens Patriarchal Blessing.  It is such an amazing blessing but there was one part that stuck out and it said that we would become parents after we went to the Temple.  Thats not how it is worded but close enough. I had forgotten that it had said that, but it was so true. I am so thankful that we are an eternal family and feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and son. I know when we do what is right we will be blessed.

Cookies and canning

Halloween is getting closer and I am getting so excited.  I love to make Halloween treats.  This year I made some ghost sugar cookies and bloody fingers.  I need to take them around before I eat them all.  Last night we had the missionaries over for dinner and I was able to get rid of a few of the cookies.  Which is good since I have been munching on them and Ben has been so good and avoiding them.  He has lost 60 lbs now. He is doing very well.

I decided I needed to start canning since it is so important to have food storage. I canned a bunch of apple sauce and salsa.  I am so thankful for a friend in the ward that let me try Mrs Wages salsa pack.  I am totally hooked and it is SO easy to make and can. :)  (and it tastes good)

6 weeks

Oh my goodness my little boy is 6 weeks old. Time is going by so fast. He is getting so big. On Monday he started to smile when he would wake up from a nap. It is so cute. I love his smile. He is so strong. He has been holding his head up for weeks. He is scooting around when we do tummy time. It's so fun to see all of his developments. We went and got family pictures taken on Saturday and can't wait to get them on the 22nd. I hope they turned out well. Dylan is sleeping so well at night. Last night I had to get up to make sure he was still alive because he slept for 5 hours straight. His naps during the day are getting shorter and he is staying up longer. I miss his 3 hour naps twice a day. I was actually able to get a few things done. Luckily he loves his swing so I can put him in that and get a few things done.

1 month old

I can't believe my little guy is 5 weeks old. These pictures are taken from his 1 month birthday. We had such a great day. We watched Saturday conference and put Halloween decorations up. It was a fun day.
